Shoe Drive

The Doris Henderson Newcomers School is a one year school for refugees and immigrants grades 3-12 to be brought up to grade level before they enter the public school system. They have children enter and exit the school all throughout the school year. In previous years, some children have gone to the hospital due to wearing sandals while waiting for the bus during sub freezing temperatures. We are committed to provide shoes for these children. Every child deserves adequate food, shelter, and clothing and we are seeking to do our part to ensure these basic needs are met for these children.  Would you join us in donating shoes or even better organizing your own shoe drive? See attached flyer.
