Advocacy matters

Refugees coming to America need interpretation, but a different kind than you may think. Obviously there is a language barrier, but there is a certain language to our services and cultural dynamics that is just as foreign to our new friends. This need can be filled by individuals and small groups who are willing to become advocates for people who need assistance in learning our American systems.

Relationships matter

In the Triad area, there are three main resettlement agencies: Church World Service, North Carolina African Coalition Services, and World Relief. What our non profit does is use our networking base within the refugee community to pair a family, or small group, with a family who needs assistance in getting on their feet in North Carolina. We help you to build relationships with families who are often times desperate for human connection.

Want to befriend a refugee family? Be an advocate! In addition, we are continually raising funds to distribute to the needs of families after their six months of service have concluded from their resettlement agency. There are always needs because new families continue to be relocated to our city. We would love to introduce you to a family who could use your support.
