Renters insurance is an insurance policy that can cover theft, water backup damage, certain natural disasters, bodily injuries and more in a rented property. If you rent an apartment or a home, renters insurance is recommended for protecting your space and belongings in the event of a covered accident.

DOCUMENT AND AGREEMENT CENTER

As part of this initiaitve, I agree to be trained and monitired in regards to cleanliness and upkeep of the home. *

In order to be accepted into this program, you will be instructed on standards of cleanliness for the home and someone will check the home once per month. In addition, you will be taught how to properly care for the maintenance of the home and this will be monitored.

As part of this initiative, I agree to attend and complete financial training that this initiative provides. *

This initiative requires accepted applicants to complete training to understand the complexities of money management.

As part of this initiative, I agree to complete tasks required to prepare for home-ownership (if this is the goal) *

This initiative highly recommends home ownership and will provide detailed and customized training to position the applicant for home ownership.

I have read and understand the following statements.(1)This is an initiative (program) for refugees and legal immigrants and is administered through the registered non-profit, The 5:14 Initiative, hereafter also called The 5:14i. This initiative is within the scope of the outlined objectives of the organization. (2)The 5:14i does not function as a real-estate broker and has no say in the lease agreements. The 5:14i supplies agreeable landlords with candidates from which to choose and is not financially supplemented in any way. The individual landlords and The 5:14i have no formal written agreements and therefore each landlord may or may not choose to accept tenants from this initiative. Our role is to train refugees and immigrants to become excellent tenants and future home-owners. (3)The 5:14i accepts no responsibility, and can not be held accountable for, the actions of those we refer to the landlord. The 5:14i will not co-sign or be listed anywhere on any lease.

Fair Housing Acknowledgement *

I understand that The 5:14 Initiative will only recommend participants of The Greensboro Refugee Housing Initiative to landlords who comply with all Local, State, and Federal Fair Housing practices and are known to be ethical and trustworthy property owners.

Credit Report and Criminal Records Check *

I agree to pay for the required reports to be accepted into this program. In order to be a part of this initiative, The 5:14 Initiative will conduct a credit report, sex offender query, and criminal background check. The applicant will be responsible to pay for the fees associated with these protocols for each adult within the household.

Furthermore, I understand that my signature is my agreement to be accepted into this program and my full participation is required.
