Greensboro Refugee Housing Initiative
Affordable housing is a matter of human dignity. We are seeking to help as many refugees as possible, in Greensboro, move from sub-standard apartments into better living environments. We train refugees in personal finance management and in household cleanliness and maintenance. These are intentional skills we require our participants to learn as they progress towards being a future home owner.
You own a property that you would like to be rented and you are open to renting it to a refugee family who is vetted and ready to be a reliable tenant. We train families to take care of your property, pay their rent on time, and help them become future home-owners. The lease is between you and the tenant, but we prepare candidates for your consideration, hold them accountable to keep the house clean, and help with communication issues if needed.
